City bikes

City bike season starts 22.4.2024!

City bikes offer a fast way to move around Lahti.

Bikes can be found on Mankeli stations. The city bike system includes 500 city bikes and 60 city bike stations. City bike season begins in April and lasts for seven months.

Purchase a ticket

You can purchase a ticket for a day, a week, a month, three months or an entire season. Purchase the license from Freebike 2.0 application or Mankeli website. The city bike licence is valid from the moment of purchase.

City bike stations and available city bikes can be easily found using the map in the application.

How to use the city bikes

No app just tap!

Contactless payment allows users to rent a Mankeli bike using their payment card. Contactless payment users do not need the Freebike application to rent bikes.

Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron and Eurocard are valid payment cards for contactless payment. You can pay for the trip with the Google Pay and Apple Pay applications.

The ride is charged according to the minute price. The minute price is 20 cents per minute in the 2024 season

  • Pay as you go 0,20 € per minute
  • Day 5 €
  • Week 10 €
  • Month 20 €
  • Three months 40 €
  • Season 60 €

All options include an unlimited number of 30-minute trips. If you ride the bike for more than 30 minutes at a time, you will be charged  a small extra fee.

If you want to ride the bike longer than 30 minutes without extra charges, return the bike to any Mankeli station and end the ride using the app. You can start a new ride with another or the same bike.
