The campus environment represents a new era in learning and research; it is located in a renovated old factory – a facility that LUT shares with the LAB University of Applied Sciences, which is also part of the university group LUT Universities. The campus brings together roughly 6 000 students, over 1 000 employees and 20 business enterprises.
LAB University of Applied Sciences operates in Lahti and Lappeenranta, and also provides education online. The strengths of this higher education institution specialising in innovation include the circular economy, design, innovations and health.
LAB has 8 900 students, and it is the sixth largest university of applied sciences in Finland.

There are classes in art and craft subjects, languages, physical education, information technology, social subjects.
