Do not hesitate to contact the environmental health department if you suspect you have contracted an illness from food or household water.
Suspected food poisoning
Food poisoning refers to an infection or a poisoning from food or household water. Food poisoning can be caused by harmful microbes or foreign substances in the food, for example.
The risk of food poisoning can be reduced by preparing and storing food properly and following hygienic practices. You should always follow the cooking and storage instructions provided in food package labels.
The most common symptoms of food poisoning are nausea, vomiting, stomach pains, diarrhoea and fever.
