Swimming halls and outdoor swimming pool
In Lahti, you can do water sports at the public indoor swimming pools of Nastola, Saksala, Kivimaa and Lahti. Enjoy summer days in outdoor pool Maauimala.
Trails for walking, biking and skiing
Lahti and the Salpausselkä ridges have a total of around 180 kilometres of cross-country ski trails and several marked hiking trails.
The task of Lahti Sports Services is to create conditions for residents to engage in and implement diverse forms of exercise at various exercise facilities.
The easy accessibility of the unique ski track and hiking networks of Salpausselkä enables experiences of exercising in nature in the middle of the city.
The City’s exercise and sports areas are multi-purpose sports areas that provide a great setting for exercise activities. The areas enable recreational and competitive sports activities all year round and serve as arenas for various events.
Additionally, the residents of Lahti have access to facilities such as four swimming halls with gyms, an outdoor swimming pool, local exercise locations and outdoor gym equipment across the city. School gymnasiums are frequently used in the evening by sports clubs and other communities. Instructed exercise activities are available for working-age people, pensioners and people with reduced mobility.
