Earth Hour climate event sends a signal for nature and the climate

The City of Lahti encourages everyone to turn off their lights on Saturday, March 22, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM to support nature and the climate. During Earth Hour, the lights of Lahti's iconic radio masts will be turned off.

Several organizations in Lahti are taking part in Earth Hour, including:

Salpakierto Oy: “We are switching off the Kujala Waste Management Center lights!” Salpakierto Oy will participate in Earth Hour by turning off the area lighting of the Kujala facility and the evening lighting of office buildings.

Häme Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centre): “A challenge for our staff: Switch off the lights for nature and the climate!” The Häme ELY Centre challenges employees to turn off electric lighting at home or elsewhere during Earth Hour.

Lahti Energia: “We are switching off the lights of the radio masts for Earth Hour.”

Solo Sokos Hotel Lahden Seurahuone: “We will turn off our advertising lights, and only a small reading lamp will be used at the reception desk. The restaurant will also have dimmed lighting.”

Osuuskauppa Hämeenmaa: “We are turning off the pylon lights of ABC service stations and Prisma supermarkets at all possible locations.”

Lahti Pal­ve­lu­to­ri Ser­vi­ce Cent­re: “We will switch off the lights and devices in our facilities.”
