Local research and development work featured at the Science Day

Science Day is the largest multidisciplinary scientific event in Päijät-Häme attracting hundreds of participants annually.

The Lahti Science Day will begin with a panel discussion on “Can the world handle the electrification of transportation?” After that, the program continues with five parallel sessions.

The day’s topics cover the research fields of Päijät-Häme: planetary health, changing work life, urban planning, food from both sustainability and aesthetics perspectives, clean air and water, developing social work, environmental issues in Lahti, and Lahti as a hub.

The event is organized by LUT University, LAB University of Applied Sciences, University of Helsinki, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences’ Vierumäki campus, and the Päijät-Häme Welfare Area. The Lahti University Campus coordinates the event.

The Lahti Science Day will be held on November 12, 2024, from 9:00 to 16:00 at Mukkulankatu 19.
