– At the park concert, the orchestra gets close to the people, and what’s better than classical music on a summer evening, says Sinfonia Lahti’s intendant Maija Kylkilahti.
The City of Lahti, Sinfonia Lahti, Möysän Musaklubi and Soundfest organize the event together.
Park concert program
Jean Sibelius: Karelia series
Jean Sibelius: Valse triste
Jean Sibelius: Symphony No. 5
Jean Sibelius: Finlandia
– Sinfonia Lahti is known worldwide as the one and only Sibelius orchestra, so the program includes the most famous pieces of Sibelius, continues Kylkilahti.
– The concert rightfully ends in Finlandia. If you haven’t heard Finlandia played by a live orchestra, now is a unique opportunity.
The orchestra will be led by Sinfonia Lahti’s chief conductor Dalia Stasevska. The event is hosted by intendant Maija Kylkilahti. The concert starts at 6 p.m. and lasts about an hour. The concert has a weather reservation.
