Street lights outside the city centre turned off at night in June and July

The street lights will be switched off from the beginning of June until the end of July and the beginning of August. This measure is part of the energy saving programme approved by the City Council on 17 October 2022.
The street light switch-off will not affect the area delineated in the city centre map.

The lights will be switched off in areas outside the city centre, including city-owned footpaths, cycle paths, driveways, and other public areas.

The lights will be turned off starting the week of June 3. The lights will come back on at the turn of July and August.

The measure is expected to save around 50 000 euros.
