In 2022, there were 6 876 university students in Lahti, the majority of them studying in LAB University of Applied Sciences (5 763) and LUT University (1 095).
All registered university students do not live in Lahti. The number of students at the Lahti campus of LUT University has almost tripled from the year 2020.
